X-bred
There is so much talk about whether or not an X-Bred dog should be allowed to hunt. In my opinion they should if they are of coonhound lineage. It's not about money for UKC, it's about allowing people to cross dogs honestly and compete in a dyeing sport. Hide prices, loss of land, and lazy people have led to the sports demise. Sambo has won alot as have other cross bred dogs. There have been many pure bred dogs that have done lots of winning. It just proves that if you make a cross with dogs you like, dedicate time to that dog, and find a way to pull the natural talent out of that dog you can go far. Superstars are born, it just takes someone willing to spend the time to see if the dog or person has it. The Sambo dog is probably a Freak of nature, but most big time winners are. I commend the people that dedicated their lives to breeding up the dogs we have. But don't most people say that they bred for what they liked or suited them the best. So what's wrong with stepping out of the box to say when crossing dogs? I think if the world worried more about themselves and not what someone else does we will be much better off.
Congratulations to Robbie, the ones behind Sambo. Also I would like to congratulate all the people that put the time in their hound to compete in the World Hunt.

Your exactly right!!! My grandpa and dad have always told me if I attend to my own knat catching I would catch more knats. I guess it is the generation we live in now the everybody gets a trophy generation. I told my buddies I hoped sam won the world the way people were crying about the hunting in Georgia it would just be icing on the cake. Congrats Sam job well done

Congratulations to team sambo but this is nothing new. The term x bred just costed the English breed another world champion.

Well them English should have stopped him and this would 'not have happened. He's a Walkertick, and he shook up the world. He's a Bad boy.
of course cross bred dogs should be able to hunt. thats ridiculous. hell i think they ought to do a open world, open to all coondogs. UKC, PKC< AKC, CHKC, NO Paper, hell bring your mommas house dog if hell tree a coon- Run what ya brung and see how your dog stacks up against all of them out there. support each other and be happy! congrats to the winner!
