6yr old hound just starting comp hunts?

Anyone ever had any success with a old dog in the hunts?? I have a 6yr old I believe could be competitive just curious if I would be wasting my time or if any of yall had any success with older dogs

I had a friend that didn't start his in the hunts until he was 5 made a Grnitech out of him and hunted him in the world hunt when he was 10 yrs old and placed 13 th overall

IMO at 6 years old the dog should be in his prime. go for it

I have a 5 year old I just finished to nite champion and put a win towards to grand so far this year

I am not positive on the so don't quote me but I believe Mr Clean or some walker dog won the World Hunt at 8
