Question for you all

4 dog cast. 2 dogs treed together 1 dog struck in other dog just out somewhere. My question is after tree is scored do you wait until you hear dog that is struck in to bark or can you just cut them. Had it done both ways don't know which one is right. Thaks.

8 should be applied and when it's broke then you cast the dogs that are handled.

What if you are treed by yourself u handle your hound, there is two dogs treed in and 5 is up and cast is walking to closed tree but fourth dog is not struck in at all, are u lead locked because of the fourth dog is not working at all or do u have to cast?

In this situation you start the time, if 3 was on the lead and the fourth dog hasn't opened then you recut and hope yours barks first for a new set of strike points. Lol

Because another dog is not treed you have the option to either cut yours loose or walk him to the other tree.

In this scenario you have the option to lead to treed dogs or cut loose. Only if all dogs were treed would you be leash locked. As long as there is one dog still out on strike or competing for strike you have the option.
