Anyone working decoy dogs
I have a question for anyone working decoy dogs I am getting into coyote hunting but go in the winter time so the coyote can be used for the furs and from what I have read it seems to be a big question if a decoy dog is worth anything in a spot like mine the ones that say they are not swear they will scar off every coyote around the ones that do say it works say it takes the focus of the coyote off of the hunter and puts it on the dog so they don't get busted as much also some say the dog pick up on the coyotes coming in and acts like a early warning sestem so what do you guys that use them say
I think you're going to need to find a predator hunting forum to get many responses to your question. I've only seen decoy dogs used in videos so I have no experience with them but the concept is interesting. It's also my understanding that is a big open country (western states) technique. In my opinion it would not be successful in Kentucky????
