Helping a friend

My neighbor has some young dogs and can't hunt the all. They are a litter out of their stock and are turning into nice young dogs. I have my own projects here but offered to hunt one of them. Just for a while to get it going a little better. We took them out two of them out last night. The one I am hunting has been hunted the least out of all of them. Well, he showed me he has the tools. Listened to him work a track for two hours, then blow the top out of a tree. Good mouth, the whole package. He struggled, made mistakes but never gave up and stayed the course. Sadly, the tree was a den, but hey, good dogs make den trees. Yes, I need to be working on my own dogs, but sometimes we need to put others before ourselves. And it was not easy staying awake in Church this morning. LOL got home at 4:30. Good times.
