What is a good product to use that kills flies, yet safe around hounds, and pups???

Insect growth regulator is a great product and safe. It does nothing for the adults, who will die off fairly quickly, but it kills the eggs. get the eggs and the troubles disappear but it takes time. I have mixed some over the counter insecticides strong in the past, but never sprayed a dog or pup. the IGR can be mixed in the tank with other formulas. it helps with gnats and skidos too.

About every other month I take the dogs out and tie them up and I got wood decks built in their pens I spray under the decks the gravel around them the wire on the pens everything with diesel let it set about three hours I don't have any bug problems.

We have had good luck with Fly Preditors for over 5 years now in our horse barn, drastic reduction in flies. But it is not a quick solution, the best results came aftet the first year of use.

I use Predators, too. They work well on flies.
