Nice picture Richard. You got me thinking about the kids today. I might have to dig some up and post them. Again, Great Picture and Thanks for reminding me of what is important.

Out with the old in with the new

Posted by Allen / UKC on 06-06-2017 04:00 PM:

Not a caption but worth noting........

Young Garret's grandpa went with him on the hunt on Thursday and Friday night. Three nights in a row was almost more than gramps could handle so Richard offered to not hunt his hound and go with the young man, if he wanted to hunt on Saturday. The young man wanted to hunt so Richard went with him. How many others would pull their dog from the hunt to make sure a young kid gets to go?

"You see son, the key to killing a lot of coons in Tennessee is to hunt in Indiana. Yep, it's true."

Good guy

I guided Richard for autumn oaks out of the Murray club a couple years ago. I took my 7 year old son and nephew along. He made sure they seen every coon that was seen. I kept trying to keep them back out of the way and quiet but he wanted them right up with the cast and was always talking with them. He was a class act and made it fun for the boys for sure. Thank you for that.

"Dad told me not to listen to this guy!!!"

Just kidding Richard thanks a lot for taking him. He was a trooper all three nights!!! Garrett stayed with it even though his cast never got to score a coon in all three nights. It's funny to see a 60lb kid handling an 80lb dog. I'm a proud dad!! He is already asking when the next hunt is.

Here is Garrett getting ready to turn loose with all the big boys in the cast.

Looks like he has his game face on there. Thanks everyone but it is really all about Garrett. I just slid into the photo with him. I am good at that.
