challange barking????

I have a very stubborn male that when i tell him no he keeps barking and barking at me challengeing me. This dog just does not listen i've never seen anything like it he'll do anything he can to try to challenge me when i'm looking. I have to physically tackle him to the ground and give him some kind of pain and he'll still get up and start challenging me. I'm not doing something right and i'm running out of ideas on what to do and i'm getting very impatient with this hound. I might be harsh but i can't stand it any longer. Can someone please help me it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Reason Carson hunts by his self is his dogs chase their tails at the tree some of them only got 4 inches of tail left.

Lol, thats a good one. You got one coming Carson. Lol.
I cut all my hounds tails off so they dont chase them. Roberts gonna start talking about the old days and how Delmar and the rest of the cast from "Oh brother where art thou" used to do it.
Hey Robert I heard that a percentage rate of 9.7 was only good in, well I guess it ain't good. Lol

As far as that hound goes, its not worth the frustration, get another and get a pup. Raise it train it yourself.

Sad to say but that 9.7 probly put at least $200,000 in the bank for that stud dogs owner ( he won that much ) and he probly has a bunch of seman stored so he ain't done yet. Rattler at 12% was getting $1,000 stud fees so fast had to turn females away Carson you just got 4 month old coon treeing short tailed dogs lol.

.

I think the training methods might be wrong. You talking about him daring you until you tackle him. Sounds like he wants to play and figured out how to get you to join in the game.

Seriously, I have been around dogs a long time and I have never heard of anyone tackling a dog before unless they were trying to catch one and slipped and fell on it.

I think a video of your training methods would go viral on Facebook.

I wake up every morning and think of what I will learn new on the UKC Forum. I am never disappointed.

Dogs not drinking.
Tackling Dogs.
The simplest competition rules are unknown to mankind.
Not a good dog food out there.
Last but not least. All these Greasy Old Possum Fetish's you guys have.
One dog won't hunt, one hunts too far. I say breed them and make soup that hunts just right.

Back when we did not have good training equipment and I had to go to work the next morning I tackled a few dogs and petted them really hard lol.

Posted by ItsOlMander on 06-01-2017 01:38 PM:

if the dog truly is challenging you, and not trying to play fight, he does not respect you. the only way to get his respect is to put the fear of God into him. You're going to have to do more than tackle him to establish dominance.

The 9.7% is reproduction record Carson not track speed which is going to take a while to go up because a lot of the pups are young everybody waits till a dog is almost gone before they start using them some studs needed to be gone before people started using them.

This dog doesn't know the pecking order. It's time for YOU to teach him. Have you tried basic obedience training? If you don't teach him who's boss, he will teach you. It sounds like he's off to a good start.

He and tit, its been awhile since I heard that one. 9.7% is a low percentage rate and to even get up to 20% it will take over 200 more titles. Which is very conceivable. I'm sure Robert will get one. Even if he reverts back to the old days. Lol
