Cell Phone Usage!

On a cast what are the rules of having a cell phone on you and answering it or texting it during a cast.

You can use the ph during a hunt, you can talk with other cast members but you are not allowed to ask about scores.

The rule states that scores cannot be discussed until all casts are back. Lets be honest tho, if someone wants to cheat they are going to find a way.

Page 60 in the rulebook and on the back of the scorecard..... Section 16 under Misconduct (f) Relaying any type of electronic messaging with reference to scores, that is deemed detrimental to the hunt.

Actually, that is not what the rule says. Allen stated the rule correctly. But he could have said that HOBO was close.

Not hard to set up a simple code , that tells what is going on....
Without EVER coming out and just saying it , be it by voice or text!!!!!!

Emojis , would be a very easy way by text to communicate a score.....

Key words said over the phone, names , such as Joe, Bob, Jack, or mom, dad , sister , brother, Uncle , Aunt....... You get the point , RIGHT????????

All could easily be used to let another KNOW, what score was winning ect...........

Not Rocket Science!!!! And would sound just like a normal conversation!!!!!! I am sure I am not the first to think about it!!!! And, would sure not put it past anyone that hunts the BIG HUNTS!!!!!! Well, not the ones that care to take advantage!!!!!

Let's say we are in a night hunt, I have 225+ and thru cell phone communication I find out that you have 250+, what do I now do to gain unfair advantage????? Looks like to me either the dog you are hunting has treed enough "grease" to win or he hasn't.....information from cell phones don't tree coons???? Thanks in advance for any info on this one.

I have heard rumors of it for years you would have to have a whole cast of guys in agreement to add points to a card don't know any other way or maybe a buddy calling anouther buddy when to tone their dog only things I see.

A guy wins his cast with 250, everyone else in the cast shakes his hand and are not going back to the club. All of them are from out of town. He finds out on the way back it's going to take 350 to get the win. Guess what he has when he gets back? He takes the risk that none of those guys will ever find out. Several people on the barred list for this.

A cast is fixing to shine the last tree of the hunt, one of them finds out through text what it will take to win. 3 dog cast and he has a buddy in the cast. HERE HE IS! Buddy says yep I got him. See how it can and has been done several times?
