Need New Boots
Time to buy a pair of new boots. Looking at the different types what does the majority prefer? I need something comfortable and wide at the top of the boot. Muck boots look to small for my calves. what chap would you get with them. How do the Dans gear hold up?
Just a heads up, I'm sure you will be told bekina boots are the toughest out there, and they are probably the most durable rubber boots I've ever worn. Just make sure to try a pair on somehow, some way. I just bought the boots for work, I work in a limestone mill and the place is heck on boots. They are holding up great but man they kill my feet! Probably the most uncomfortable boots I've had. Not sure about the chaps, I've heard "bad land's" from nite time supply. Hope you find something.

I have Yoder chaps on Bekina boots. They are tough and light weight and mine are comfortable. One thing I will say about Bekinas...they absolutely do make them in a wide size of you need it, but nobody carries them and it seems like none of the people that sell them will admit they make them wide. I was actually told they only come in regular width, but checking their website they offer wide. If you need wide and get regular they are not comfortable at all.
They also come with a thin little "felt" insole that doesn't really do your feet a lot of good...Dr Scholl's will fix that issue. You have to keep waterproof camp spray on the chaps or they will soak thru if you don't.
Almost forgot...I do have bigger than normal calves, but these boots work fine. These are the ONLY boots I have had that lasted me more than one year...going on nearly three. Got them when they very first came out in 2014
