Tick prevention and Simparica in pregnant females?

I have traditionally used Bravecto for my hounds but have recently switched to Simparica. I have been very satisfied with BOTH products but switched to the monthly simparica for the faster kill rate and to hopefully maintain a higher level of tick prevention from month to month since Bravecto was dosed every 3 months. I have never found a tick on any of my dogs since using these oral medications as prescribed.

My question is that Bravecto is "considered" safe for pregnant females according to the manufacturer. Have any of you all used Simparica with your pregnant females with good results?

I don't typically like to give my pregnant females anything. I always worm and vaccinate them before breeding and then not again until after they have the pups. I have an older female that I would like to keep hunting to keep her in shape but around here, ticks are like gangbusters right now and I don't want to take any chances.

The Simparica site says it has not been tested in pregnant or lactating bitches so I'd not use it in that situation.

Just let me know if you need some Bravecto and I'll get it to you in 2 days. So far it is the only one that has safety studies done in the US on pregnant and lactating dogs. I do have a client that used Simparica on a pregnant dog with no effects on the pups or size of litter.
