gotta love long walks with blowed out boots.
think ive surrendered the flag on muck boots attached to waders. ive tried about everything for boots and even knowing mucks are junk with how many pairs ive destroyed always liked the comfort and ankle support better than the rest. thinking about trying the dans brand but im sure their like every other china boot. anything that seems to hold up better hurt my feet or dont have enough ankle support with serious hunting. would pay top dollar for something comfortable to me that lasts... ugh, its irritating.
besides having wet feet and one foot sticking out side of boot had alright hunt. the other boot was already leaking so at least both were wet. just me and sky hit the woods with perfect 50 degree temp, 10mph north wind, and wet ground from last couple days rains. had one long screaming track with single, layup that her tree was slick but touching tree had coon on upwind side. i think winded and missed tree and not a crossover but will never know. had 2 tracks that took longer than like but ground out and had coon on both. had couple horrible walks and couple easy ones.
couple trees, this one the coon moved around tree like someone blowing squaller.
this one ended in hellhole hope to never go back to.

dans
had dans froggers for a while now i like them and i walk hunt at least 5-6 miles a night had no trouble so far
I had mucks for years, they was a comfortable pair of boots as I always wore the booties if not I would get blisters on the back of my heel.
I went to quadtro last 2 pair I got, insulated and non insulated they are more comfortable then muck by a long shot. I still wear the booties when I am hunting to keep my feet dry. But I will wear these boots all day over shoes as they are that comfortable. Insulated pair I got my regular size and the ankle seemed fine. The non insulated I went a size smaller and glad I did they are tight but have no problem with the ankles they feel better then the mucks ever did...
