Legend offspring

Anyone have any info in Stillwater farms legend offspring. I'd like to know what qualities are present in his pups. Iv got a female out of him and sparkeys star. Alot of drive, big mouth, stay put and accurate. I just want to know about how he has crossed on other bloodlines.

Legend was born here and he was off a litter of 5. 1 was ran over at 6-7 months old in Tn was treeing squirrel's I called him Big Daddy.
Fm littermate was making a good hound dug out of her fenced in kennel before 2 and hit and killed by car.Iowa
Another froze to death in Mo.
Only 2 left from his litter. King and Legend!!!

The reason s I bred to Legend is I used to hunt with him. He would strike up quick and drive a track. Catch a bunch on the ground,Beautiful long locates on him and what a tree dog. I've seen him do layups as good as any hound. One of the most complete total packages in one hound that I ever witnessed.

I bred 2 fm's to Legend and both had awesome offspring. Seem to start early and the ones that were fooled with early made better hounds. I' m talking 4-5 months take them to the timber. They have big hearts mabe a little wild for a lazy hunter the ones we had had plenty of hunt alot of go power. One of my friends has a littermate to your fm and she has a big clear voice and making a good hound.
Legend has around 85 pups and when he reaches 100 will be on the reproducers list. He has reproduced well on about every cross. I really liked the Booming Blue Lou cross. Image was my favorite out of him that i've hunted with.

I enjoyed hunting with Legend and seen some impressive work out of him. Good Luck to you Sparky's Star seems to be working real well and I seen a real good looking male out of Smokey River Six Pack last year and Legend. Baby Six is from the same cross.
Steve Kitchen bred one of his female s to Legend and I know there s a tough female that Ron Behne is hunting. Twilite Rolin Blue Lou"
There was a male that was doing good out of that litter I don't know what happened to him.
It's hard for me to keep up with all of them. I will assure you. You have some of the best of what the breed has to offer. Sparky drove and hunted with Legend and seen his offspring work. Alot of hard work and dedication was put into this cross. I think you will end up with a very nice hound when she finishes out.

Man alot of good info, thanks. Yea she was a handful keeping straight but with the drive this dog has that goes with it. She sounds alot like you describe IV got a second place on her. I'm wanting to breed my grand night female and I was thinking king either jet 9 or legend. I really appreciate this response.

Ole Legend is a nice Hound. One of the few I've seen that was a big hunter, could RUN a bad track, but could also tree laid up coon. That rascal was like a machine when he was younger, treed those coon one after the other all night long.

I have owned two offspring out of Legend.

The first was a male out of the Six Pack cross. They don't all make the grade, and unfortunately he ended up being a cull.

The second was a male out of Runnin Jodie (Runnin Gun x Turkey Creek Fanny). He took right off when I started hunting him with an older dog at 7 months old. Running track and treed at 8 months old. At 9 months old he started split treeing some. I singled him out at 12 months old and he kept right on progressing. He would go just as hard by himself as he would with company. He was not the kind to check back in. Nice stay put tree dog, not ill in any way, and a nice looking hound. If I had to fault him, he would locate around too much before he settled for my taste off an older track. He had just an average mouth, and he also lacked layup ability in spite of both parents being excellent layup dogs. I lost him to a freak hunting accident opening night of the 2015 kill season.

I have hunted with multiple offspring from the Legend x Lou cross. Image, Bo, and Prodigy. All were nice looking, went hunting good alone and with company, had above average mouths, and we're stay put accurate tree dogs.

I hunted with a female from the Six Pack cross multiple times. Baby Six was one of the hardest going blue females I have been to the woods with. Above average mouth, good looking, and a stay put accurate tree dog. Very very nice gyp!

I also hunted with a male one night out of the Star cross owned by Sparky. Good looking hound, went hunting good, above average mouth, and a whale of a tree dog who would stay put and have his coon.

In summary, the vast majority of the offspring I have hunted with have made pretty nice hounds. If I had to comment about a common trait I've witnessed it would be giddy up. Dogs that go as hard by themselves as with company.

I plan on owning and hunting another Legend offspring in the future! I kind of like em

To answer Coonbone, Star is off Jenna and Gauge. Star and her brother Hoss were the first two grandnites out of Gauge. Jenna was # 1 reproducer for a year. She also produced Jet 9 and Super Jet. I have a litter mate to your female I call Jennings. Come hunt with him anytime, he's not perfect but I like him.
