Southern Days

I had a good time at southern days meeting new people and talking with friends about these old mangy red dogs. I had good cast's every night and great guides each night. I think I may be cursed or something, I hunted 3 nights and never saw a coon only treed on den tree's and 1 opossum.
Big congrats to Jake Garner and GRNTCH Adams Shotgun Red on their wins and for having Overall High Scoring dog for the weekend. He did what he needed to do, show up and tree coons like he always does because he is a coon dog for sure. Im sure I will be back next year to try my hand at it again, maybe with something a little different on the end of my leash. Big thanks to the Eno River Coonhunters Club for hosting this event and a big thanks to the great guides we had all weekend.

I had a great time at SRD also. It is a great place to meet new people and catch up with old friends. I have always liked SRD. It is a big hunt without being too big, a great place for a country boy. There was fellowship and great competition and drama. It was very exciting and the competition for Overall Champion was fierce with a nice hound winning out in the end.

Its all good man. One thing I cant stand is a uncomfortable pair of boots lol, plus I needed some snake chaps. Pastor Mike I enjoyed our cast just wish we would have seen a coon or two and I appreciate you letting me pick your brain about these red hounds. Me and pops had a good time Friday night and we appreciate the ride John, I wish there had been a different critter in that last tree lol. I should have put it in my original post but CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS
