Question on breeding

I bought this lil female a month ago and she will go hunting stays gone but wont really open on track or tree. She will go crazy on a caged coon treeing and shook one out and she killed it. When i first got her she never barked and when you came out the door she hunkered down as if you were gonna beat her. She will be 2 in April and i love her breeding and would like to breed her. I feel maybe her lack of opening up is due to being mis handled, Thoughts anyone?

Someone, or quite probably several people, who owned dogs in that pedigree that you like went ahead and bred their dog(s) after going through the same thought process you are now. Look what's at the end of your lead now; the product of that kind of reasoning, a dog that doesn't track or tree and is timid. It shouldn't matter how the dog is bred, she's not breeding material.

one should never breed dogs with a serious fault--- you will certainly get more of the same and be stuck with a bunch of junkers you cannot get rid of.
