Leasing a female to breed

What are ways its been done.... do you give the owner of the female x amount of money an get all the pups? What has people paid to lease females and what is the best way to go about it

Well im wanting to breed to a real nice female and and i cant see buying one for less than 5,000 of that type of quality so do you think im going to spend that to lease a female to breed to once? Guess i dont know what guys pay to breed to top notch females

Best bet prolly try n find a ol grnitech silver or gold ch with lil age on her cause the kind yer looking for dont get bred much in their prime.

I think leasing a female to breed is a great option. It used to be fairly common in the hound circles. Get outside of hounds though and it's pretty rare. I leased a GWP female for breeding and the agreement was to give the owner of the female two of the pups. Worked out great.

I wouldn't let anybody take my female off and breed it! She'll be right here so I can keep an eye on her. Lease for a couple bucks and lose thousands

I bred my male once and the litter is outstanding ive offered 2,500 for one of them and he told me he wouldnt sell half of him for that and have offered 2,000 for two others out of the litter and got all no's so i want to lease a female to get pups out of him beings it isnt possible to buy one of the pups he has already

U would probally come out cheaper to buy one straight out, breed her and then sell her. Jmo. Because nobodies gonna lease a good female for 3 or 4oo bucks.

Sounds like you need to "dip into the same well again". How do you know the pups will turn out even remotely close to the same out of another female?

I dont thats why i want to breed another female see if he does it again and if he does im gonna collect him a bunch so i have semen down the road when hes dead an gone

I have leased 1 or 2 of my females out in the past (and might again before long) but i kept my female and raised the pups until 8 weeks old for stud owner then he picked them up and paid me x amount $ for each pup. and I also got 2nd pick of litter.
I have also done the same as above but the stud owner got 1st pick and I sold some and what I didn't sell stud owner bought at a reasonable price at 8 weeks old, and stud owners will do this if they know that they can sell pups, some can and some say they can until pups show up. Lol
Most guys that have a good female are not going to let you take them same as most stud owners are not going to let you take the stud to your house unless you know each other,

No at the time i sold the female to a man i Virginia and he asked me to breed hom too her before i sent her i took two pups for myself and sold them to local hunters because i didnt want pups at the time now that i have time and want one i cant buy one lol so im going to hopefully breed him again for myself

Well id be willing to pay good money for a good female im not shy about spending money if i feel it would benefit me

The last female I leased out, I never saw again. I wanted to sell her when they asked about leasing her instead. No money changed hands, I just wanted her back, VET checked, in the same condition they took her in. 14 months after the pups were born, he bought her for 1/3 of what I had asked before he got her. Never again will one leave here.

Best thing to do is buy the female and then sell her after the pups are weaned. You can even agree to give previous owner first chance to buy her back. Straight out lease... decide what pups will sell for and pay female owner 1/2 of that for each live pup.
