Where to hunt in michigan?
I currently live in southern ohio near the ky border but I recently accepted a position in Dearborn michigan. I figure while I'm there I might as well do some coon hunting but I have no clue if there is any kind of public land in the area to hunt. Any help would be much appreciated.
AKSteel? Spent my time there under the Severstal regime.
Lots of good hunting around Chelsea and Jackson. All public ground.

Yeah. I'm hiring in for AK. I worked at there plant in Ashland ky for a few years but that plant is idled for now. Gotta pay the bills. I'll do some research on the places that you mentioned. Thanks for the help larry!
Sounds like a plan duke20002000! It'll be a few weeks though I don't hire in for another couple of weeks. I appreciate the invite. I don't mind hunting with B&T's. I'm not color blind. Haha
Ok
Sounds like some fun

Michigan hunting
Waterloo state game area is a nice spot. Lots of good hunting up in the thumb. If you're ever in that area get in touch with me I'd be glad to go. Not to side track but anyone ever hunt any of the Pinckney or Brighton rec areas?
-Henry
I hunted Pinckney several years ago when I lived in michigan, but never coon hunted then. I just hunted deer, rabbit, and squirrel there. Im sure there are plenty of coon out there, because when we camped out at crooked lake in pinckney we saw tons of coon. There is a lot of land there...
