Coonhunters Integrity

Been looking for a dog had been out of hunting a while and starting from scratch. Bought a young started hound who was killed in the road while hunting, and have been searching for a nice broke hound, had a few folks contact me and offer to sell their hounds only to back peddle. Why jerk someone's chain and waste everyone's time just to change their
Minds. Folks need to shear up and not waste people's time and efforts. Thank you and good day

There is several people on here I know that won't back peddle if you got the money but maybe you told those people what your expectations were and they knew when you came to hunt they knew they didn't have what you were looking for.

Supply and demand have alot of things to do with a purchase..Their are some dogs for sale that will please alot of people but you may have to expand your search,go to some hunts, watch some scorecards and expect flaws from a 10,000 dog to a 1000.00 dog...Look for the dog that is not for sale and offer what you can afford and go from there.

.

Couldn't agree with John more.

I was at a hunt recently and watched a dog come in with a good score. Saw him get taken back out and win the late round. This dog has won a lot and this dog won big last night again. I was talking to a buddy while at the hunt and we were wondering among ourselves, if the guy would sell the dog and we were figuring out what it might take.
That night we drew him. I would't give 10 cents for what I saw that night.

I will stick to the long, hard, crazy, fun way to training my own until something happens to our better dog. If we don't have a replacement then I will look to buy one, just the way John described.

Your title mentioned INTEGRITY. Not always sure the sorry dog comes from someone trying to beat you. It comes from the fact that the guy may not know what a good dog is and when he says "its the best he ever had". That might be true.

Also there is a percentage of people who actually don't know what a dog is doing and they just don't know any better.

Ive been searching hard for a couple months and have noticed more crooks that sell junk than i have people backing out on a deal. I trusted a person i drew several times and trusted and got burnt on a dog with wins and money won that should have been culled long ago. I learned a valuable lesson. I finally found a prospest and its really not what i want but im gonna see what i can do.

dogs

I guess its not even about the dog, I've had several calls and texts offering to sell me a dog, when it comes time to go hunt or trial, end of story. These folks contacted me, I didn't contact them. Why jerk around on someones chain? Pointless.
