I think coons are starting to covey like quail.

How else would you explain these dogs all getting struck on the same track two foot from each other then they flush the covey and they end up treed separately all over the place ??

A bait pile?

I know them having bird dog in them theory is starting to make sense lol !!

its play time for coon!! But yadkintar you never said they had coon!! just split treed all over!!? just because they split tree!! don't always mean they went the rite way!!lol

Those quail tracks start off real hot and the further they go the colder they get then they flush and everything gets crazy lol.


I guess it's easyer to teach a dog to flush quail than it is to teach them to hold and point.

Is the best dog you ever had also your favorite dog to hunt?

Nope some of the best dogs I ever enjoyed hunting with I did not own a hair on but in the same sense I have culled some that were better than some hunt it's a long period of time between good dogs I own some I just don't talk about.

JUST LAST WEEK IN WISCONSIN WE HAD 40 DEGREE WEATHER . PUT OUT 4 LIVE TRAPS WITHIN 75 YARDS OF EACH OTHER . CAUGHT 3 COON IN ONE NIGHT , THEY HAD TO WEIGHT AT LEAST 20 POUNDS OR MORE EACH. SO I AGREE THEY ARE TRAVELING IN BUNCHES LOOKING FOR A ONE NIGHT STAND.

Put one of them vidios of your dog fighting a coon on here with you giggling in the background and see what they think lol !!


Ps : I giggle too Especialy when you got a young that thinks he is all that and that coon gets him right by the end of the nose you talking about testifying and begging lol !!
