Thank you to everyone who entered a dog in the hunt this year. It's pretty humbling to see this kind of support. A lot of the credit goes to each one of the surrounding clubs for their hard work and hospitality. It's a lot of dogs to put in the woods but everyone involved is stepping up for the occasion and working hard to make it happen. A special thanks to the Itawamba Sportsmen Club in Fulton for helping out this year.

Since there are so many dogs will the UKC be placing 5 GrNT's each Night??? In the years past it seems they only place one Grand each night. It would be really nice for the UKC to place up to five placements just like Nite Champions. You have the Grand Sixteen at Autumn Oaks, why not have recognition for at least the top 10 of the weekend (5 each night) for Grands at the Winter Classic. It would also be a great way for a Grand to earn a couple of performance points as well. You are really only talking about 8 more throphys and 8 more pictures . Alot of people spend a lot of money to come to the Winter Classic, I think it would be a "Grand" thing for the UKC to do to show some appreciation for the high numbers this year

Oh my goodness, 8:30pm, somebody put in some overtime. Thanks a lot. I agree with Jared. The Gr Nts that are still getting hunted should get a little more prestige. It is no wonder everyone switches to a young dog when their older one makes Grand.

Well no answer so far.... Looking for an answer from the UKC on this subject and there reasoning behind it.How about just a picture and some performance points

. The Grand American places more than just one Grand Night place, the World Hunt places 20 and Autumn Oaks places 16 , so this makes it the only major UKC event that doesn't place any more than just one Grand. So why not place more than just one Grand Night at the Winter Classic?? I think it would make a lot of Grand Night owners happy they can still win there cast and get more of a chance to get recognized.

It would be nice to know if I was the first loser

and I would be going home with some performance points for my dog.

Ok how about this, you can bring a Registered dog place in the top 10 each night, gets points toward NtCh, get some Performance points, prizes, a trophy, and get a picture taken.

You can bring a Night Champion place in the top 5 each night, can earn a 1 win towards GrNt, performance points, get some prizes, get a picture taken, and get a trophy.

If you bring a Grand Nt to this hunt and you get 2nd or 3rd you get nothing. Does this really makes sense?? So why punish people wanting to hunt there Grands in this hunt??

If I read the numbers right, it looks like there are 1039 entries. If that is correct, are all 1039 hunting or is that hunting and bench show entries combined? I would hope this is a combined number.

Everyone wants to win but why fault dogs that don't have the opportunity other's will. It all comes down to your guide not your dog. If you think everyone is going to get the same opportunity with that many dogs. You have done went crazy lol. Last year at winter classic draw a guide that takes us to public land first dump 18 dogs at the tree when we get there. Them dogs do not have same opportunity so don't fault them by only giving one place

Wait list

I got my entry form and am on the wait list. How likely or unlikely is it that I will get to hunt based on previous years experiences? I mean i will go and wait to see and visit with everyone and shop but it sure will be disappointing not to hunt. Live and learn.

I have never seen anyone turned down that made the deadline your chances are 99.9 percent maybe even 100%

Anyone being put on wait list is highly unlikely. The reason the date got moved out 2 weeks is so deer season would be over and that will open up so much more hunting land. I personally wouldn't worry about being on the wait list.
