toughest hunting boot

What is the toughest and easy wearing boot for hunting with chaps. I love lacrosse and have had good luck with them just looking for options. Tight fit ankle would be a plus.

I need a tight fit boot around the ankles. Do these boots fit tight around the ankle or narrow?

Dans frogger is a well made boot that is comfortable and durable. Mine fit like a glove. Paired with the Dans 5 star chaps is a great combo.

For me personally they fit true, I wear a 10 in most rubber boots, mucks I have to wear an 11 and use bama socks which I'm not a fan of. I have found if you have a wide foot you need to go up a size with the frogger in most cases.

i have slim narrow feetthey fit me great. Here is the deal the people who say that another boot is tougher than the bekinas are not being truthful. They may.not fit everyone's feet but they are super tough, head and shoulders above anything else. If there was a tougher boot I would buy them in a heartbeat, BUT THERE ISNT! And badlands are thevtoughest chap out there, period.I've hunted in mucks, grubs, lacrosse, quatros and bekinas are in a league of their own! I'm not too sure that the reason venders don't promote them is because they last too long and they will make more money on the ones that last half as long. I haven't met one hunter that have wore the boots out in less than two yrs. Tuff, tuff, tuff!

Hmmm.......That doesn't help me any.....actually confuses me even more.
I wear a 9/9.5 in regular shoes and also wear the 9/9.5 in Muck.
I will have to find a Frogger somewhere and try them on to get a good fit.
Thanks
Tim

X2 bekina w/badlands and a pair of Bama socks great combo.
And I do not recommend the Dans 5 star chap should be about 1 star. My first pair of bekinas had them on them and had chap shredded in no time.

ok here's another thing this guy hunts, I mean really freakin hunts boys if they can take the beating he gives them they can handle anything! If you are gonna follow one of them mafia dogs get bekinas if you wanna be comfortable stoke the fire and kick back in the lazy boy!!!!!lol

You have to decide what you want. The most comfortable boot is normally the easiest to tear up. All the extra padding is the first thing to go. I have a pair of Bekina that are 2 years old that have seen it all and still look new. The chaps are a different story. When you talk to someone about boots it's kind of like talking to them about lights. If they own them and they haven't torn up yet they think they are the best thing to have.

If I wasn't wearing the Frogger, I would be using the LaCrosse Burlys. Probably still one of the all around best boots made. Tight ankle fit. Probably as durable as any boot on the outside. Biggest issue is wearing the heal out inside the boot, makes it hard to get off once this happens. That's the only down fall I see. The Quatro uninsulated boot is very similar, not as tight around the ankle, weight wise about the same. Quatro runs a little bigger in size, at least for me. I need an 11 in Quatro and a 10 in LaCrosse.

Bekinas are tough. I've had a pair for over a year and no others last that long. But the whole time I have had them I hoped they would spring a leak so I could get somethin else . The most uncomfortable boot I've ever had 2 pairs of socks , booties , or barefoot.

Who make the Frogger boots? They look alot like the Reed boots. I've only had 2 pair of mucks and didn't last 6 mo each time. I've stayed with the old lacrosse Burly with air grips soles. Buy the boot and let Dan sew the chaps on. Just like the boots I use to get from wicks.

Another vote for the Bekinas...I never had a pair of boots last one full year until I got the Bekinas. They are a little over two years old and still look and feel new. Another thing rare for me to find is boots that don't hurt my feet or wear my heels. Bekinas solved the problem. I have put miles in all of them. What some guys call the best or toughest didn't last me but a few months.
The only other boot I have found as tough, but they are not something you would wear sewn to a chap, is Matterhorn mining boots with the tiger toe. You have to walk a few miles in these things to break them in, but they don't leak and they don't wear out.

Depends on how hard u hunt!! If u want a boot you can put on night in and night out u better listen and buy a bekina if u hunt on weekends then u can get a good life out of about any boot. Bekina is what i wear ive wore em all. Quatro is a good made boot but their to heavy for my likeing. Im kinda lazy so i like a light boot. Ive wore my bekinas every night for the past year with out any problem. This is my second pair the old pair my dad is still wearing with the bad land chap. I personally didnt like the bad land cause they were to stiff. I now have the yoder chaps and they have held up very well. But its all in what is comfortable for u. I dont think u will find a tougher boot no were. As long as they make a bekina it will be on my feet.
