Bench Show Enthusiasts!

UKC Bench Show Enthusiasts!
Input Wanted!
-----------------------------------------
My local coon club is looking to increase participation at our shows. We've decided to try and offer a Prize Pack to the overall dog at each show.
-
1.) What would you like to receive as prizes? Some ideas include - Photo gifts, dog food, treats, lead, collar, dog bowls, shampoo, other???
-
2.) Overall Dog choices would include BOSM, BOSF, CH Male, CH Female, GRCH Male, and GRCH Female.
Would you like the Judge to decide the Overall Dog or would you like to see the club put together a panel of 3 to decide Overall Dog?
----------------
Any input is welcome! You can e-mail me if you don't want to leave comments on here. Thanks!

I would prefer to win dog food over all other items. A close second would be a gift certificate for vaccinations from a local vet. As long as I have hounds, I always need food and shots.

I would prefer a panel pick the overall after an individual judge picks the class and breed winners.

I would also suggest selecting a 'club champion' show dog for the year and giving away a jacket or other prize package.

Hope this helps and participation in your shows picks up.

Thank You!

Dog food seems to be the leader among prizes.
I like the idea of a vet gift certificate, but if we draw someone from an hour away they're not going to want to come to our local vet to use it.

We're working on a dog of the year for our hunts, maybe we'll see how that goes and if a big hit we can see about adding it to our show program next year.

Isn't your club the Yale club in ohio? If it is I believe you already do an overall with your spring classic? I prefer collars and leads. Even dog bowls. Dog food sounds good but some of us are particular in what we feed. No two people seem able to agree on dog food. But i know I always need leads. My son can't seem to bring a lead back when he goes to the woods.
