Ok so trump said he wanted a flat tax across the board? Is that right, something like 10%? I'm almost positive I heard this. Will it happen?

What will it take for this to happen?

I am pretty sure he HATES the IRS, so I wouldn't be surprised that the tax codes could be changed so that we wouldn't need the IRS.

I'd love to see a flat tax myself but I don't see him doing that.

Imagine you're a big businessman with lots of IRS issues. You've been battling them for years and realize there was only one way to beat them. So you get elected president and then you fire the director of the IRS. It's not exactly what happened but it's close and very sweet.

I haven't read his whole plan but it is to drop the tax brackets from 7 down to 3 along to simplify the tax code. It is not exactly a flat tax across the board but makes much more since than what we have now. Tax breaks (lower rates) for bringing money back into the U.S. from overseas instead of hiding wealth off shore to encourage large companies to stay here or come back are also part of it. He has made the comment that even those with what should be tax returns they could do themselves now requires an accountant to figure out is ridiculous and I agree.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured… but not everyone must prove they are a citizen. Now add this: Many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens.
