Needs advice, my pup got bit by a pit bull
I was walking out of the woods last night and my 8 month old lockbox male beat me back to the truck and once it hit the road he took off a half mile down the road. He ended up at a house with a very large pit bull. Well y'all know how that ended up. He has a few puncture on his back leg and belly. I thought he got lucky and was not hurt to bad. When I got home from work today he would barely get out of his house and could hardly walk.
Would like any advice on how to dr him up.
Thanks
Well metacam or meloxicam will take down some swelling. Novolexin is a antibiotic or amoxicillin. I'd check out the puncture wounds. There are complications having to due with bones being chomped. Really if you think he got it good take him to the vet for a quick check
Vet visit.
