Time has a way of sneaking up on us.. On Wed Nov 2nd Pride turned 10 years old. Doesn't seem possible.

Thanks, he's held up really well over the years. I just finished him to Gr Ch this Summer. He should have been finished before he was a 2 year old but I just stopped showing him.

Conformation

I feel that good conformation is one of the best traits a hound can have. Brains yes, but if a hound cant keep himself from falling over himself and go for hours on end then all the desire, and want to is no good. A well put together hound will out last a poorly put together hound anyday of the week. people breed these hounds with small chest, short ears, small muzzles, weak backs, bad feet are fooling themselves at the ages of 4, 5, and 6. the hound slows and is still a competitor but will not last.

I agree, conformation does deff play a part in having in a hunting dog
