Yes sir
I also conducted a master reset on the collar with no luck. Any recommendations on where to send it for a diagnosis?
.
One other option first. Do you remember the ID number. Always good to write those down in case you have to add it manually.
If it is under a year old they it is under warranty. If it is over a year Garmin has an exchange/repair program. For around $100 bucks you can send it in and get one that works that looks like brand new.

thanks
thanks Bruce I will give them a call as i do not have the id number. I appreciate the help and info.
.
One last thing. When you updated the collar did you do it on a MAC computer or windows computer. Windows is the method to use and if you did it on a MAC then trying a windows computer may straight it out. Take me back one step. Did you have this collar on your ALPHA and for what reason did you take it off. It was woking somewhere I suppose and now not. What happen?

collar
nope it has never been paired with my alpha. i have not tried plugging into a computer? Just the master reset from the power adaptor. I will try plugging into windows computer.
i was able to come up with a serial number for the collar, i bought it off someone, it powers on just fine, just cant get it to pair
.
From the early collars they changed the way you add them slightly. Two ways you can do it now.
1. Follow their instructions which is with the collar off go to the dog list on handheld and select add a collar. Think it will then say push and hold collar on button.
2. Go ahead and push the off/on button and hold for several seconds and the collar will flash fast and beep-that is pairing mode. Have your handheld read and already to the page to select add a collar. Select add a collar and if your collar is still flashing fast and beeping it should add if you did it fast enough.
I am not saying your not doing this. Just giving a refresher in case we are missing something simple.
One important thing I over looked. Did your handheld come packaged with a TT 10 collar or TT15 collar. If it came with a TT 10 collar it won't connect to the TT15 until it has been updated. That may be the problem.

my alpha came with tt15 and was updated yesterday, i just finished updating the collar as well. still no luck by using the method of holding power button on collar until fast green flash and adding from dog list on alpha unit
.
Sorry, your my first failure of the day. Hope things improve from here as I am fixing to go run a chain saw and cut up a tree the hurricane blew over. Starting wth 10 fingers and toes. Hope this afternoon the count is the same.

Never a failure thanks for al your help Bruce.
Be safe with the saw
Ok Bruce I found the problem. Bought the collar off eBay from a guy out west , the collar was from Australia! So therefore operates on a. Different frequency than USA. If you know anybody that plans to go there and hunt I have the hook up. My money was refunded and the seller told
Me to just keep it.
.
That is something people don't realize about these products. Every country just like ours has frequencies that these products are allowed to operate on. Garmin has several different frequencies in their products for several different places around the country.
