Tribute to Twilite Rolin Blue LOU

Just wanted pay tribute to an excellent blue female for what we have won this past month. Thanks again to Steve Kitchen for selling half of her to me.

Started late Sept by winning 2/3 casts to get SS eligible. Also, won !st place & Queen of Hunt @ Iowa State BBOA Championship with 675+ on 4 coon (2 by herself).

Starting last Monday night was Cedar River Classic 4 Wheeler hunt for us- 10 $KC casts in 6 nights. We hunted on 9 casts & won 6 of them to make $KC champion & put us in contention for the oppurtunity for a Pup Truck ticket for month of Oct..(lost 2 casts for handler error on my part, go figure, lack of handler experience). Also, With 2 CW on Fri/Sat night, we were ready to hunt for wheeler, but fell just short by 1 slot (500+/475+ & 2 CW). maybe next year!!!

Oh, did I mention, she'll be 3 in Nov.!!! Thanks again, Steve, Take care, Ron.

Never got to hunt, sure wish I could have!!!! Steve had sent in swab as a pup, but never had it ran. I should have caught it, when he gave me the papers, because they had DIS on them. This means they have swab, but it needs to be ran. If papers have CIS on them, you are ready to hunt.. Don't worry, her test is already being ran for next year.

If anyone is looking for a pup, Steve has a litter out of her mom & BoomerII that are a month old, PP & SS. Take care, Ron.

On the SS DNA thing. Was her DNR ran for UKC?

I was gonna take Strap and told them I have UKC DNA certificate and was good to go. DNA was complete before UKC changed DNA providers and they both used same company.

Thanks everyone

It's been a long month for both of us.

UKC hunt tonight, $KC hunt monday night & 2 UKC hunts next weekend, then we can take a major break. Although, shooting a bunch of $2 coon has me really fired up!!! NOT. We got that much for them back in 50s & 60s, while driving to the woods on 25 cent gas. Take care, Ron.

Lou had another good night. Won another 1st place reg. with 450+ on 3 coon. Took a 75- early, then treed coon by herself, while other dogs were on a circle. Last drop of night, she dropped the hammer on a layup. I took 1st strike, let other dog strike & have 1st tree, then treed 2nd (just playing it safe) & she had a double. Great cast of dogs & a beautiful walk in the big park. Saw several more coon & grinners during the 2 hours. Take care, Ron.

Congrats Ron.Good to hear about another Legend pup being taken to town.That's 5 titled out of him that I know about and one that had a first and second before he was killed.The thing that stands out to me is they were out of 5 different females,different crosses on different bloodlines and not one cross.He has 88 pups sired by him and has crossed well on different strains of blues.Might get into the icebox soon if the little female I've got out of GRNITECH Herron's Ace x full sister to my GRNITECH Image dog keeps coming along.Would like to get 100 pups on the ground off of him and she should cross well back on Gramdpa.
