-- Only when the moon is full......... (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928464669)

Posted by cmuxlow on 10-16-2016 03:05 PM:

Only when the moon is full.........

Only when the moon is full,......that the young female I'm startings 3rd night out track and tree a weasel with some coondog class!!

Only when the moon is full,....... my three hounds get treed same time on 3 different trees and you can't find one stinking coon!!

Only when the moon is full, .......you get heading back to the truck and your young hound hits a track and pulls the older broke hound and pushs it a 1000yards plus across a big creek only to pull up on a grinner :-(

Only when the moon is full,......an adolescent red fox wants to be your buddy!!

Only when the moon is full,......you'll say you won't hunt another :-)

Only when the moon is full...(let's hear yours)

Only when the moon is full do you and your buddy take another guy with you who hasn't been in 15 years and first tree everyone's boots fill with water only to find a den tree. Broke dog trees 3 grinners in style. Other broke dog makes two slicks. Other broke dog trees through two hollers and you get within 40 yards and she packs her bags only to tree again two more times. Only on a full moon can you hunt from 9 pm to 4 am make 7 trees and not see a single coon even at your honey hole. Yeah Friday was that bad haha. Oh and only on a full moon can you drive home from said hunt and accidentally run over a grinner who walks right out in front of you.

I posted a picture on my Facebook page about 2a.m. of two young dogs with their tongues hanging. 3 hours of hunting not one bark. I never turned my light on it was so bright out. Even though I didn't see a coon I knew the young dogs did a great job.

Only when the moon is full...do you go out with your grandpa and tree one mangy kitten and a porcupine which you don't realize is a porcupine until you shoot it out and your dogs tear into it.

30 coon

Only on a full moon can I float a 4 mile section of river and see 30 coon and only get one. All looking from near a den or out of den and it was 35 degrees on river.

Full moon scrambles Walker dogs brains like scrambled eggs and that's a fact.

I had a really good race Thursday night, but I will admit it ended in an old and very large white pine. Did I ever mention I dislike pines more than a den tree?

However, Friday night I had a barn burner track that went through the middle of the thickest crap I have been in yet this year. That coon wasn't 18 feet up, and still on the trunk. I think he had no choice left but to climb. The funny part was there were several much larger trees a mere 20 yards away.

Of course in the tradition of what else can happen on a moon lite night, she did find a fresh gut pile. My guess it will be the last for awhile.

You know it's bright if that happens. I've never even heard of that happening at night.

Only on a full moon; Turn a high strung 7 month old pup out that hits a road, and Garmin losses communication at 500 yards, luckily, 45 minutes later find him 3/4 miles away with a solid red light on the collar.
