My Faith has be renewed.
I think sometimes we don't give people enough credit. We talk about this sport and how the young guys are leaving it and how many are never coming to it in the first place.
Today I got a chance to talk to a young man from SC that is beyond his years when it comes to putting some dogs together for hunting and breeding. I didn't poke into his life and see where his love for the sport came from or see just how deep is experience with hounds are. From the dogs he has put together there has to be some background there. We did talk about him venturing into comp hunts and I will be Praying for the Good Lord to guide him and that his experiences are good. I think you could put his in name in a time capsule and in 20 years take it out and you will recognize it as someone doing good things with his dogs, both in the hunts and breeding pen.
He contacted me wanting to learn a few things. In a few minutes of talking to him I figured I should just listen as he could teach me something.

Perfect Example
That is a perfect example of someone who has kept his ears open as well as his mind. If he can keep an open mind and listen along the way, a lot can be gained. It's refreshing to hear stories like this one. I wish that young man all the best in this sport and hope he doesn't get off track when he ventures into the competition world.
