Here we go.

After watching the other boards and seeing dogs for sale then seeing the same thing ( on thyroid medication ) I have hunted the same line of dogs a long time but have owned just about all out there and have never fed anything but purina dog chow did used to feed the high pro in the winter I got some of my buddy's that feed that 30% stuff and there is somthing wrong with their dogs all the time pulled sore muscles ect is it the feed or are we breeding up a bunch of sissy dogs that are so closely bred that they are almost inbred that saying mine are bred tight and never had a problem what y'all think.

Purina Chow in green bag here. No health issues. Can hunt them all night and they don't wear out. I know most disagree with this old cheap 21/10 but it has always worked good at my place.

I got to confess I am old enough that I remember the old purina feild and farm lol!! But just wondering if it's the diet or the breeding if i got a dog I got to give pills to to hunt it it's gone from here.

I don't think it's feed or the line breeding. I've never had any of the issues you have mentioned. I've feed different feeds over the years, I've had tight line breed dogs at times.

Do you think the vets are just telling us these things to create more business's do $$ in their pockets? Thinking us houndsman or just dumb hillbillys who don't know any better? I'm sure in cases some of the dogs do have an issue, but there seems to a lot of cases now days. Just my opinion.
