Building steps for sr dog

Got a old that his hunting days are over so he stays in house a lot but is having issues up and down deck steps. Any suggestions on way to build steps to make them easy for him to get up and down. He has one back leg that doesn't work too well and I don't want him falling. I have seen a lot ideas of ramps but I don't have room for one. Thanks

I have one that is missing a back leg and is 13 years old. And for some reason I can't figure out she will not come in the front door which is one step but would rather come in the other door which is four steps. She will go out either but coming back in is another story.

If you say you don't have room to build a Ramp, Why don't you build one or have one built like the Movers and Delivery Men use, For piece of mind you could put short rails on the sides so he could not fall off, A Ramp like this you could move it out of the way anytime you want to .

Try CONCRETE BLOCKS

That's what we use for pups and Older Dogs. We lay about 4 side by side. Then stack 2 more on top up against the deck or house. Use less if need be. We have a 14 & 1/2 year old. We stacked blocks for him. He still jumps on & off. Good Luck with yours.

when my dog got too old to do steps I just picked her up and carried up and down, put her in the truck and took her out every time we stopped and started. I'd still be doing it today if she were living.

thanks for the suggestions, if i were home all the time the carry would be an option but g/f cant pick a 80 lb dog. may look at the block option, also seen about instead of just having two decking boards double that where he kinda has a landing on each step and can take a little break may not look the best but should get it done. he can almost make it down the step and about the last one front legs get to fast for his back legs.
