Debate

Anybody watch the debate? We are in trouble. It looked like a Saturday night live skit

I hate to say it but Hillary did better. She certainly didn't win because she had zero substance, but The Donald played defense for the entire second half, after taking control the first half. Which you could partially blame on the moderation. His questions were to defend something he said, and Hillary's were based on policy.

I was disappointed in The Donald. Hillary was set up for the kill with the cyber security question, and he didn't go for the throat. He had multiple opportunities and didn't take them. All he had to do was list her scandals and win.

I am really hoping the Donald wins, but he didn't look so hot last night. However, on a positive note; in the last election, Romney throttled Obama in the first debate, and there was some actual substance. Obama was able to bounce back and win, so hopefully The Donald can too.

No harm no foul for really either side. Those voting for Trump are still voting for Trump, Hillary's are still Hillary's. His bringing up the Burnie getting screwed over when talking about cyber security will not go unnoticed by Burnie's people who still don't like her & the dems having control of black communities for 100yrs is something that is starting to resonate with some in those communities.

I would say that today both sides are disappointed. A lot of Republicans wanted to see Hillary get into coughing fit, or become unsteady, or watch Trump flatten her with all she's done wrong.

The Democrats were hoping beyond hope that Trump would self destruct and melt down acting like a 3 yr old.

Neither happened.

That said Trump had numerous softballs thrown over the plate to him where he didn't even swing. He has got to do better, and he's got to learn he doesn't need to defend everything that's said about him. He wasted tons of time needlessly.

Went on a full 5 minutes defending the time frame he said he was against the Iraq war. Stupid, stupid, stupid. He doesn't have to own that, right or wrong. He was a citizen, he wasn't privy to intelligence briefings about Iraq and classified info. State your point and pivot back to talking about Hillary.

Spent 5 minutes defending when and what he said about Obama's birth place. Same as above......state your point and move back to Hillary. It's way to easy to get under his skin. I hope somebody prepares him better next time. I'm sure they tried, but he needs to listen.

I'm not sure Trump wants to win!!! The way he keeps sticking his foot in his mouth makes me wonder. I liked the way at first how he wasn't't always worried about being politically correct in what he says but the longer it goes and the more he talks the more he keeps shooting himself in the foot!!! But as far as myself I don't see that I have any other choice but him to vote for. Sure won't be voting for the other candidate. I wish Pence could talk some sense into him or shove a sick in his mouth!!!
