Purina Dog Food
I'm wanting to switch back to Purina, which exact type of purina do you guys like best? I've been using Diamond but want to switch after reading all the stuff going on about it. Also I have one female that is pregnant so whichever is best for her.
30-20 and nothing else!

I would switch back to Purina ONE BUT my dogs never much cared for the shredded stuff plus I found maggots in it two different times.
I feed all of my females Puppy Chow starting as soon as they start showing that they are with pups.
I had been feeding Diamond Naturals, but decided to switch back to The Pride.

I just went to purina sport 26/16 from diamond. The stool is cut in half and is firm, dogs like it and are slick, the price for a 40lb. bag is only draw back.

Fed all the high priced stuff....naturals, pro plan, etc.....$$$$....my Dad talked me into Purina Chow about 2 years ago. I know all the claims of negatives but I have seen NO change in the appearance or performance of my dawgs. I do supplement at times with meat scraps and bread in cold weather but otherwise it is dry feed only.
for the money it is hard to beat. Currently sold in 57lb bags for $22 and with a $7 rebate check you only have $15 in a bag. That's about 26 cent per unit price.
pro plan 26 18

I feed all my pups Puppy Chow, they do excellent on it.
I've been feeding Dog Chow for a few years, dogs seem to like it and maintain well on it.
I have recently tried mixing in Pro Plan Sport, and I'm liking what I see.
It's expensive, but if you get on Chewy.com they have good deals on it.

Dog chow for maintenance and pro plan sport for hard hunting, I certainly dont get to hunt nearly like I used to but my dogs do great on dog chow and with rebate checks its the best quality low cost feed out there
How much is the purina pro plan sport in yall's area ?
I see its 41.98 on chewy.com but you have to buy 2 bags in order to get free freight .
I feed Pro Plan Sport Performance (30/20). I order mine through Amazon Prime, shipped to your door for free. Right now if you don't have it set up for automatic refills it's around $42. Auto-refill take $2 off. I usually get mine in two days after the order date delivered to my front door.
Started off feeding Diamond Naturals. Ran right through the dog and eventually wouldn't eat much of it. Switched over and haven't had an issue since.
Chewy is by far the best price on it in my area
Ive been jumpin around with dogfoods pretty bad lately, my Pride dealer closed up so I went to an Amish man who deals Kenny O's and i got a dog that went to a rack of bones in probably a week and a half on it and I have to feed twice as much of it, I fed pro plan sport this past summer and I think Im going back to it and just sticking with it, its pricey but I fed half of what I did with Pride and Kenny O's and get way better results so in the end Ill probably break even, I only run two dogs and run the piss out of them so little more per bag isnt a big deal

I feed Pro Plan Sport, pups like it better than puppy chow. I tested it on two litters and bothe litters will eat the Pro Plan before puppy chow.

If I was going too feed Purina it would have too be the pro-plan. People complain about the prices on some of the better feed but most of the time it cost no more or even less too feed some of the better feeds in the long term. I dont know what all the different kinds of proplan there is I haven't fed Purina in 7 years.
I feed native 3. Fed sportsmix black bag for years it got to 33 a bag for 50 pounds switched to native 42 for 40 pounds I feed less dogs look better and in the end it costs about the same and the dogs really like it

Just remember"light travels faster than sound. That is why some people appear to be bright untill you hear them speak."
I have one that is a picky eater and even "nibble" eats when she does eat and noticed her pawing at and trying to get my cousins dog food bowl at a hunt once when we fed them at the same time just a dog lead distance away from each other . He was feeding the pro plan sample bags from the purina events and keeps them for traveling ( he feeds pro plan at home as well ) . He pushed the bowl towards her and she jumped on it like fried bacon !! I grabbed it up real quick and mixed some with her feed and put bowl back in front of her and watched..........
she started "picking" through that feed like I would in a can of mixed nuts and eat all the cashews first ! She tried her best to get every chunk of that purina and left the rest.
My first thought was, great!> that crap is expensive !!!!
I still havent bought a bag .......... she looks and acts good on what I have her on ......just dont know what to do .......
Just like the man said above,My Darlin bitch will choose DOG CHOW over any feed I try to give her and if mixed she will pick out and eat the dog chow and leave the other. My dogs do great on the green bag yall call maintenance feed,However they are not hunted hard ,maybe 3 /4 nights a week.In the winter I will mix DOG CHOW and SHOWTIME (BLUE BAG) 50/50...Puppy chow for all my pups until ther r a year old....Jim Dandy feed sold by many groceries stores back in the day was good also ,cant find it around me now...
