Rule Changes
I noticed several posts regarding rule changes, and individuals displeasure with this year's results.
If you truly believe in a rule change, don't stop at just suggesting a rules change. I know I got involved in a rule change many years ago. First time, it was voted down. Next time, I suggested the rules change to my breed association. Then I contact each voting member in my breed association and discussed why I felt the rule change was needed. Then i started contacting (letters and followup phone calls) with individuals in other breed associations. I did this several months in advance of the rule change meeting.
The second time was the charm. The rule was changed.
My point is if you believe in something enough then put the work into it to make it happened. If all the individuals that have voiced concerns over this last rules changed put the energy into changing the rules before the vote that they did after the vote ... well then maybe we can expect better results.
Guys it is called working within the system. The part that many don't realize it isn't enough just to work within the system, you have to do the work too.

Oh my goodness, that sounds like it would take a lot of time and energy. Posting on the interweb for a couple of weeks doesn't take either time or energy. I have plenty of time but not much energy left.
SO RIGHT LARRY
That's kind of what I've been trying to put out there for the last week. That way more people will understand how to get after their reps in 3 yrs. to get a change that they would like to see, only I think you stated it better than I may have.
Richard, with you being retired, you should have plenty of time & energy. Beside you hunt Redbones & everyone knows they never get more than 100 yds. away from you, when you do go hunting. I did see you on Sat. afternoon heading into food building (or at least the back of your head (pony tail)), but when I looked in, I didn't see you. And I dang well wasn't coming into the restroom to see, if you was there!!! Was just going to talk Redbones for a bit. Take care, Ron.
