Reproducer and a coondog. In her younger days, she very handily beat some dogs we've heard about but was just hunted in smaller hunts and B&T Days.
She raised litters from KS Hayes, Batman and Buddy. Here's a link to one of her pups I own, out of Hayes. (Click Here)
P.S. Scott Rodden from Iberia, MO owns her. If you want to talk to him I can PM you his ph no. but he's hard to get ahold of.
Gem was born at my place. I sold her to Bryan Davis, who started her and she ended up with Scott Rodden. Gem will die at his house. Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks guys for the information,
What's the Hayden's part of her name stand for? Just curious about one of the best reproducers.

Coondog! I saw her go one night and she was nice. I hunted her littermate sister, NiteCh Tolliver's Party Queen, quite a bit. She was as tough as anything when she wanted to be, but on some casts she didn't want to go hunting. Never had that problem with her pleasure hunting. She was the dam of Smokey 7. I also owned GrNiteCh Famous Dave for a while. He is a littermate to them. He was a really nice young dog, that had all the tools. He just had some accuracy problems. That was a wonderful cross.

Bryan Davis sold Gem to Brent Irwin and Scott Rodden. Brent had a son named Hayden, hence her name. Scott Rodden soon bought out Brent's interest in Gem but I believe she was NtCh by then and of course her name couldn't be changed.
I sold Gem to Bryan Davis when she was several months old. Bryan got her started quick. Bryan and his dad, Dickie, came up to go hunting. Here is a video from that night. Gem's dam, Ruby Too, on the left, Gem on the right.

Now that's a tree dog. Hindsights 20/20 on wishing you could have that pup sale back eh John? ( and Bryan). Can't keep them all though. Another fine example of your breeding program. Congrats!

Not at all, there are "no regrets" when they go to someone that hunts them right.
Its the ones that have the same, or maybe even better, genetic potential as Gem, who go to guys who don't get them the right opportunity, thats hard to take.
