Blast from the Past

Ever since I got my new smarter than I am phone, I keep getting texts, videos and pictures from people. Has anyone ever heard of a Rock band from years past called, "Kill Shot"? Apparantly a couple of brothers were in it and they were Coonhunters. They may have even hunted Redbones. Does anyone know anything about this band or who was in it? Were they even any good? Does anyone know where I could buy one of their albums or cassettes or eight tracks?

What is a You Tube? Do I call them on my new phone? I doubt that anyone knew what a interweb was when these guys were playing. Just look at those leather jackets. One of them has fringe on the sleeves. I used to have a leather jacket with fringe on the sleeves back in the 60's. I even had a pair of pants with fringe around the knees. I wish that I still had them.

I just heard that they were brothers and that one called himself Tex and the other called himself Bo. But those may have been stage names.

WOW

Man, I miss the late 80's early 90's.

Check out the stonewashed jeans on the front man. At least one can of Aqua Net cashed in its chips to get that hair like that. LOL

Flanked by the brothers Van Zandt no less. LOL Looking good Al.

Carl, what did it say about them? Does it show them playing? Chris have you heard them play? Was that Butterbean guy in the band or was he just a baby then? Someone texted me that the guy in the middle might be Meredith Sloan. I got another text that said the guy on the right sometimes played a "Banjo" and the one on the left was a real "Timber Knocker". I wonder if Kelly Hyde was in this band? I bet that the girls just swooned when that pair came on stage with that long hair.

I'm in doubt

I can't imagine this is real. Is someone that good with Photoshop or is this real? Grow up Amish, then heavy metal band, then competition coonhunter country boys, then fine upstanding citizens we know today. Wow seems like some major life changes for sure :-O. Next are they going to be special agent government spies or something? :-)

Can that be true? Darrin, do you know something that we don't? Where in the world would they learn to play the guitar? Maybe on the MTV?

The mystery deepens. There may be a little "hippie" hiding out in a lot of closets, just waiting to be exposed. It is amazing what comes out when you are in the public eye. I guess that this rules out any bid for public office. Maybe we can use this as a learning experience for our kids. "The choices that you make in your early years may come back to haunt you."

Allen, Corey Gruver is the one who texted the photo to me.

And I just got another text that said he thought that they might have been a Disco Band.

Very haunting..... what mother would even claim a child like that? At the time, all we wanted to do was play music and hunt. And still do. The trips to the barber shop are more frequent these days.

I did some picking with the guy on the left a time or two. But the metal thing is throwing me though. When we played together all he did was EZ listening stuff from the 70's.

He probably picked that up after hanging out with Kelly.

Chris, one man's "easy Listening" may be another man's "heavy metal". Allen, did you include that picture with your resume when you applied for the job at UKC?

Not the case Richard. Chris didn't know any Metallica or Motely Crue or Motorhead, so that's why we played Don Williams and Dolly Parton songs. Picking with Snyder opened my eyes to real music and was the turning point for me. Now all I ever play is the "easy listening" stuff.

For good reason, I did not include that photo with my resume. However, it has caught up with me now so it will likely be the demise of my tenure. Thanks to social media, and the Moonlight Banshee Outlaw.

Way ahead of their time

Those two brothers, minus the leather, look just like the two brother from "The Band Perry" I pretty sure if they have a younger sister to trade in the middle guy for they could hit the road again without much change.
Allen on the mandolin Paul on the bass. Take a look at the two groups it's scary .
