New to Bluedogs

Ive always hunted walkers, and they have always treated me good. But, I guess I'm just wanting to shake things up a bit, and just give a blue dog a try. So I guess my question is what stud or what line of blue ticks consistently produce quick, fast, get gone, hard hunting blue ticks. I'm basically looking for a walker dog in blue tick clothing lol.

I'm looking into getting a female, but I want it to be out of sure enough good stuff. If I'm gonna get a blue dog, And hear all the trash talking from my walker buddies, I may as well have one I can shut them up with.

I know what to look for in walkers, and what lines are best known for what, but I am completely lost when it comes to blue dogs.

If anyone knows of any lines, or crosses that are producing this type of hound, please let me know. Feel free to PM me or comment below.

MadDog

I hunt the MadDog line, if you didn't know she was blue just by listening to her operate in the timber you wouldn't know if she was blue or Walker, medium nose drifts a track fast, layup dog, chops on tree steady, and is stuck there, very accurate, she is bred to the Crocket dog now, he is much the same, There are several other lines that produces this type of hound as well, if I can be any help in anyway, let me know......Gerald

Which line tends to be more action packed. Works fast, and whatever they do, they do it quick. Has a big motor and drive, something you can't put in a dog, it has to be bred in them.

Like with walkers you have some lines that are more tree powered, some more track powered, some balanced lines, some quick, action packed.

What does the Smokey River line tend to be more of?

What are the Jet and Rambo lines more known for?

Etc. Etc.

I don't know of any line of hounds that has a better motor than the ones that go back to Echo or Rambo II. they just have more of a wild desire to go than any I have hunted with. jmo

not saying there aren't other lines of dogs that have the drive. thought I would say this before anyone goes crazy lol. these are just the most consistent litter after litter that I have seen.

The best comp blue dogs ive seen personally in the woods have been dancer and jet bred.
