not sure how many may know Greg he hunted blueticks for along time ,great guy passed early may 28 2016
arrangements are not final

Greg's obituary

Greg was a good friend of mine and I will miss him.
He was a good man, a good father and husband.
He was a true houndsman.
May GOD be with his loved ones at this time.




Gregory "Greg" P. Holbrook

TOBOSO: A funeral service celebrating the life of Gregory "Greg" P. Holbrook, age 65, of Toboso, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Ed Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Frazeysburg Cemetery.

Greg passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). He was born August 19, 1950 in West Liberty, Kentucky.

Greg was 1968 graduate of Whitehall High School. During his junior and senior year he took heating and cooling classes. Following graduation he worked for Sheets Mechanical until he began employment with Martin Heating and Cooling purchasing the company in 1991. He then changed the name to Martin Systems and in 2007 to Greg P. Holbrook LLC.

Greg had a strong passion for coon, rabbit and squirrel hunting and working with his dogs. He enjoyed fishing and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of the Licking Valley Coon Hunters.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn I. (Mathy) Holbrook of Toboso; three children, Jonathan Andrew (Crystal) Holbrook of Frazeysburg, Shelby Lynn Holbrook and Danielle Nicole Holbrook of the home; four grandchildren, Travis, Elizabeth, Mackenzie and Elijah Holbrook; his father and step-mother, James "Jim" and Marianne Holbrook of Newark; a brother, Ronald (Beverly) Holbrook of Dresden; a sister, Cheree (Craig) Lybarger of Newark; step-sister, Cathy Brewster of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean (Spencer) Alimo.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark. Please visit www.hendersonvanatta.com to view a memorial and to leave a message of condolence for the Holbrook family.
