At what age can a male dog reproduce?

I have mostly had females all my life and I'm wanting to make a cross next time my female comes in heat but wonder if the male will be ready by then to breed cause he's about 6 months old now. Youngest I have seen was 9 months but that was pulled and froze. It wasn't live cover.

I raised pups from a 7-9 month old beagle before. Accidental breeding but im sure they only got together once
