It's going to be held in Mount Vernon if we can fill it. Just need a list of people... We've got plenty of hunting over there & I know we've got plenty of help. We'll have 4 huntin judges early & a none hunting judges late

Tony, I think we should have randomly selected judges and guides on both rounds. I do like the idea of dogs having to tree a coon by themselves. So maybe on Friday the 16 dogs should have to go out and tree a coon by themselves which then qualifies them for the Saturday hunt. Give the dogs 90 min, judged just like any other one dog cast once they reach circle points t plus they are done. Again all randomly selected judges and guides. This way if spectators wanted to see what a dog does by it self they can come and see.

I want it to be 4 cast, early 1 late on a saturday so the workin man can make it. As far as doing it by there self I'd put my $ on someone isn't going to drop 250$ on a dog that can't tree a coon by itself

If this happens with the guidelines Jared suggested I'll be trying to talk my buddy into bringing one of my dogs to it. Random guides and judges drawn out of a hat would be about as fair as it could get. I would think that anyone entering would be capable of judging. Throw the 4 handlers in a hat and draw one to judge or do you already have judges picked? Would be nice to see dogs tree coon alone to advance but not a deal breaker. What would the pay out be and where would the rest of the money go? Guides, judges, and club and the rest to the final 4? What about rules? U.K.C Super Slam, P.K.C., C.H.K.C, which format? Sounds interesting.

The club will be reliable to come up with 4 non hunting guides, the 4 top judges will be picked before the event is held. As far as the event it will be a 1 day event, & the date will be set when it fills up

The judges will be picked by who I feel will do the job the best, the most honest & knowledgeable on the rules. The date won't be set until it feels up.

Also I think you would get more interest if the winnings counted towards something like a title or qualifying for a larger hunt

Good luck with your hunt. From the outside looking in it looks like you are running the hunt in a spot you chose with judges and guides you pick. I'm sure everything is done honest just imagine that's how a lot of folks are going to see it.

Actually the Dale, Illinois club said they'll take the hunt & the hunt will be ran by Brian Wellen... I'm just setting the hunt up & getting it going If anyone is interested give me a call or txt & I'll give all the info for it being Sanctioned because we're not allowed to talk about other registries on here lol

It was his idea he should be able to lay it out the way he wants. Why does everyone always have to automatically look for an excuse why not to go or why they lost before the hunt is even held. I think the question was who would be interested. If theres enough interested im sure those guys could hammer out the details and probably already accounted for back outs when they make the list of those interested. Thats my outside perspective

Im breathing fine. Just giving my outside perspective based on what was wrote. I can understand wantin to know the date and the payout and all that but to comment on the place and the judges seemed a little like picking thr hunt and his intentions apart. Look at his signature he is from texas. It seems like this is a problem in this breed. Seems like people not you in particular but people are already cheated or beat or something elae before the hunt even happens. Sorry yours was the quote I picked. didnt mean hijack the post.

I know where he's from. Bought a pup from his grandpa when he was just a kid and I've talked to him before. I'm not interested in all the petty crap. Just wanted to know about the hunt. I did tell him how it sounded from what he told me. Doesn't mean I was saying that I thought that. I'm not scared to hunt my dogs anywhere in the country against the best I can find. I wouldn't haul dogs 26+ hours to redbone days if I just thought I was going to get beat or cheated all the time.
