Which Rim Fire Firearm?
I figure almost everyone uses a rim fire firearm for coon hunting. What do you prefer to coon hunt with a rim fire rifle or a handgun? Why do you prefer your choice?

I use a nylon 66 most of the time if i am hunting alone and if i am with other hunters i carry a scoped mark 2 pistol a lot, anytime i am out in the woods i have a pistol on me.

they only make 3 kinds of guns rusty ones guns that are going to rust or stainless steel I use a marlin stainless steel rifle as way more accurate then any pistol and it don't rust

I had two nylon 77 last year and let a buddy have them, i don't like how the clips hang out and they don't hold enough shells but they are good guns, i bought my mark 2 back in 1984 new it is a Government Target Model and i have took just about every critter that walks, crawls, flies, swims, with it, I like those Plinksters they are light and shoot good and priced right the only thing i don't like is the clip hangs out of them real bad and i have never seen one with a tube.

I carry a ruger american 22 it takes the 10/22 mag and it's a bolt action very accurate rifle I also use a ruger single 6 22 and have no problem shooting coons out with it. Pistols are much easier to carry hands free if you plan on using a pistol practice a lot don't expect to just be able to do it
