Lucky Dog
Got a text from Travis Legler, UT yesterday morning that a pup he got from me got too close to a big tom and he was headed to the vet. Seems the lion was in juniper country (short bushes and trees) and the lion got the whole 6 month old pup's head in his mouth. Report from last night is that the tom's canine actually broke away from the bone and got pushed up into the nasal cavity. Travis said "A little more pressure from the lion and the pup would have been dead. He kept treeing after he got bit though, so I was happy with that".
If any of you guys ever want to travel out west for a dry ground lion hunt get in touch with Travis at Tman's Guide Service (928)713-0187 or tmansguideservice@yahoo.com and facebook.
To see video of his dogs treeing the lion, go to https://youtu.be/mn3-jKW4kZM.
Tough hound.
I know dry ground may be more difficult at times, but I'd prefer that to knee deep snow any day. One day maybe just maybe I'll get the chance to experience both!
Hope he makes it , sounds like a tough little boogar

Travis is back to hunting him so he will make it and have a deeper hatred for a lion than the average dog.
Adios,
Gary
Travis texted me that the pup trailed and bayed up another lion. "He does really good in the ledges, uses his head to figure things out. Dang good little pup!"
Larry Anderson has a littermate in Montana that I have hunted with. He is as good as they get for 8 months of age.
I have a male and female from this litter that I have not started as I am so busy trying to finish up the season for CARNIVORE. I can tell that they are going to be quick to start, great confirmation and huge bawl mouths.
Adios,
Gary
Sounds like a well planned successful cross.
Gary, I don't carry any type of paid TV service but found Carnivore on CarbonTV via my Roku. Enjoyed the TX cat hunting with Mr. Braman most of all! Great stuff.
Yes, CarbonTV carries three seasons at this time but we are adding last season shortly.
Adios,
Gary
