Best coonhunting in Arkansas
Where's the best coonhunting in Arkansas, with the best access to hunting areas?
Thanks
No coons in AR. Try MS. Or TN.
White river refugee when ain't flooded
best coonhunting
White river refuge. lots of coons, lots of coon hunters when its not flooded.
Pretty easy to get access to privet ground with farmers. Some of the best hunting is around the refuge. The privet ground around the refuge is better then the refuge, but there is a lot of good public hunting. If you draw a line north and south from the center of the state most of the stuff to the east is great. Most of it to the west is not so good.

Any where you can get permission to hunt private land there will be coons that's all I hunt here in central Arkansas.
Thanks everyone
White river refuge USED TO BE the best spot in Arkansas to hunt during the short time It was open each year. It was bragged about and publicized several times in the bloodlines and cooner. Now you can't make a tree without somebody's dog covering yours. I guess if I picked a favorite it would be Hurricane WMA between Bald Knob and Agusta miles of swamp tons of coon not a major amount of hunting pressure vs acres to hunt. And as Joey said above the land around it that is private is even better especially east of there along the white river
