America

Somebody explain this to me because I'm confused.

When did America and its Capitalist society become the pinnacle of disgust to the outside world and sadly to many within our own country?

No country in the history of the world has propelled so many to wealth and so many poor to comfortable living.

The only cases in recorded history where the masses have escaped from grinding poverty is where they have had capitalism.

There is no alternative way so far discovered, NONE, that can come in an even distant second to the productive activity that is unleashed in a free enterprise capitalist system.

America was the first to figure out a way to drill for and transport oil in a mass scale to the common person. Changed the world.

The first to figure out how to deliver electricity to the common man. Changed the world.

The first to invent and produce a usable light bulb to be delivered to the common man. Changed the world. Before that the world pretty much shut down after dark.

The first to build and mass produce an affordable automobile available in affordable mass numbers, to the common man. Changed the world.

Discovered the vaccine for polio and the cause and cure for yellow fever. Saved 100's of millions of lives the world over.

Too many ground breaking cures and operations to list. Saved many more 100's of millions of lives the world over.

The greatest educational and learning centers and hospitals in the world. Built largely by donations from some of the richest people in the world of the time.

Microsoft, changed the world.

Apple, changed the world.

I could go on and on, but you get the point.

The liberals complain about the riches in America while tweeting out put downs on the internet, from their I-phone, driving around in their vehicles full of plastics made from evil oil companies, and going home to their houses full of products that make their life comfortable developed mostly by evil American companies.

And more than likely the money for their house which is better than 2/3 of the worlds houses, was provided to them by an evil bank.

The greatest and most successful societal living standards for the masses in recorded history. Explain to me why we are bent on throwing it away?

Because we have so many in politics that believe that YOU are to dumb to run your life but THEY are smart enough to run it for you!!!

They use false information and class warfare to gain control. To maintain gain that control they need to disarm you and remove freedom of speech.

We are still the greatest country because the libs, socialist, comys, dictator's have a stronger grip everywhere else

Thought of another really big one I missed.


First to figure out how to cheaply make steel. Then produced it in mass quantities. That along with oil ushered in an industrial explosion of buildings, bridges, and transportation. Again changed the world.

Of course most all of these massive accomplishments was pre-regulation era. When a man could have an idea, produce and build something without first getting 6 yrs worth of permits or mortgaging the next 3 generations just to get started.

Yall's gonna get another discussion to "go poor." So I might as well add my 2 cents. This subject is endless. I've been all over the world when I served as a flying crew chief on a KC10 in the airforce. Hands down, America is the best country ever!
Freedom comes with a high price! Men and women that serve in the armed forces and especially those that have paid the ultmate sacrifice fought to preserve our liberties.
If you elect to vote one way or the other, that is your right! Freedom of Speech has been given to us by the sacrifice of blood on sacred battlefields across the world. Use your freedom wisely and not carelessly.
With this in mind, let democracy win. Let freedom reign in our country. If America wins, I'll win with her! If America goes down, I'll go down with her!
America is divided badly. A great gulf separates the nation by two major ideals. Liberalism and conservatism. The question we have to ask ourselves is "How can we close the gap?"
The only way to bridge the gap is _______________!
You fill in the blank, but for me Jesus is the Bridge! With Him all things are possible! Because He is the Way, Truth, and the Life!
With Him we will vote according to our conscience, and we will vote with His guidance. But more importantly, our country will be unified, because He and the Father are One, then so can we become One with Him in life and in purpose!

Good post but one thin that the conservatives need to remember is free will you do not have the right to force your views into laws just the same the muslims,jews,Hindus and so on don't have that right either separation of church and state. Is the only way to avoid this that's why we colonized here to begin with.

No It was the Conservatives that rammed Obama care down our throats wasn't it? Who would have ever thought that the govt would tell you who could be your doctor and who couldn't?

Wait, It was the conservatives that forced affirmative action upon us, wasn't it? Who would have thought the govt. would ever tell us who we had to hire?

Just screwin with you Rob, But you see if anyone is forcein crap on you its the democrats.

They need a shake up with both establishments. I'll always be a conservative because of my views on abortion and the second Ammendment and basically my entire view of less government and more state rights.
But our democracy allows for the left and their views. I don't aggree with them, but it is their right. That's democracy boys! That's why democracy divides, but it's the best when a demcracy is ruled by a Theocracy, then it suddenly starts to unite..
Just remember, Satan wants to dvide us, but God wants to unite us. If your a democrat or republican, use your moral compass that's in you and you'll cast the right vote! God bless our country

Funny thing is all the liberal,socialist politicians that berate and belittle the wealth in this country are all wealthy by the common folks standard. Ive never heard a single one of them offer to bring their net worth down to the average American's net worth. That tells me that they dont give a rats a$$ about the people they claim they so dearly want to help. Kinda the ol do as I say, not as I do message. How anyone that has worked and sacrificed to make a decent living in this country could vote for a democrat and their liberal
social justice agenda is beyond me. Me way of thinking is, if you want to eat , get your a $$ out and find a job cause I aint giving you anything. There are exceptions with the elderly and disabled, but if your able bodied, get a job or go hungry !!! I've taken care of you long enough !!!!!!!

Orphans, yea. If I die, I nor my wife expects the government to take care of her. If your referring to SSI, I paid that in and now its being stolen with no compensation

Its the most critical election ever! I just voted early today. I cast my early ballet, and all I'm gonna tell you is I voted republican, and I voted my conscience. The rest is up to the Almighty. He knows how it's all gonna work out in the end because He's Omniscience (All-Knowing). I do know, I feel this country is at a turning point. I hope it's toward God and not away from Him.
I understand all of the frustrations y'all are sounding. Now lets get out an vote and voice your concerns on your ballet.
