Nascar
Are y'all ready for Daytona?
Whose your picks to win it?
I like Dale Jr to win the 500
Johnson will win his 7th cup title.

I've been ready since November!
Jr is always my pick
Think I'm going with Harvick or Hamlin for this year. Also think Chase Elliott is going to make his presence know as well, may not make the chase, but wouldn't be surprised if he did. He will be a force to be reckoned with in the next 2 yrs.

I agree with y'all on the old points system. But I believe the chase is here to stay.
The big one will probably take out A lot of the big dogs. Being out front will help. Look for Jr to get to the front quick.
Chase Elliot has the talent. Its just a matter of time before he puts it all together!
I would sure like to see Jr to get his first cup title this year!!!

Yesterday was 15 years since we lost the greatest driver to ever climb in a race car 2/18/01
On a lighter note I figure Jr's gonna win the 500 from the way he gets better and better everytime they go to a plate track and especially the way he's been lookin this week.
Bein a Gordon fan I sure would like to see Chase Elliot win it though, if theres a driver fittin to be in the 24 Id say its him. If you watch the interviews with him and listen to what the guys in the booth say about him, hes learmin more and more on a daily basis. Hes been takin lessons from Jr, Johnson, Gordon, his dad. Hes already got the speed as he's sittin on the pole. If somethin were to happen to Jr Sunday it certainly wouldnt suprise me to see Chase win it.

I just pull for the old guys anymore. D. Jr. Mainly. I'd like to see JJ win his 7th championship. Kenseth is a seasoned champion too.

I am just the opposite. I would love to see Kyle Larson or Chase Elliot win a couple. They seem like good kids in their TV interviews. I like Kyle Larson's grin. He acts like he is still having fun at it. Of course, they might change when they start winning.
I really haven't kept up with NASCAR since 2001. I tried to watch the 2001 season, but that was to pull for and keep up with Dale Jr. I never got back into it after Dale was gone. About all I've done since the 2001 Daytona is flip back and forth to see how JR is doing. During the off season I will watch the reruns when they show them (pre 2001 that is). I could watch the 'ole spin to win Bristol race a thousand times!!!

Agree with all who posted about the older days of Nascar.......it's not even close to being the same as the hayday's of the mid 80's thru the 90's. When we lost Dale in 2001 it completely changed and not just on the track.
Rex Sims, I use that mute button anytime I happen to be watching the start of a race where DW is announcing. I'd like to take that stupid boogity boogity boogity phrase and jam it thru his ears. Lol.
Agree totally!
