which stud dog would you choose

Dog 1 has an all grand 4 generation 200 pups on the ground with 15% of pups titled

Dog 2 has won several big hunts like winter classic and Autumn oaks is a Grandnite and PKC gold champion with only 8 pups on the ground at 5 months old

Dog 3 Grandnite PKC champion with 5 world nite champions in his 3 generation no pups on the ground.

Dog 4 pr papers just a hide dog no pups on the ground, but is a very solid hound known by all the locals at the club who all have nothing but good to say about the hound

Now none are s.s or performanced and they all have the same hunt style and mouth. Who do you choose and why

I'm going with #1 because he is the only dog that has proved he can throw winners. With his numbers he has already thrown 30 that can win. The rest of the list will probably never do that.

Pups

None their not SS or peformanced. But if I had to choose it would either be between 1 and 2. Ones proven he can win big hunts, the others reproducing pretty good numbers.

If I had to pick from these 4, it's all a gamble, but to me #1 would be my choice. He's the only one the slightest kind of proof, that whole 15% could be phony, but its still gives you more to go off of than the rest. When you breed to one, you don't get them, you get what they reproduce.

i would go with dog 4 , i have never had much luck with a spotlight dog and i have seen ole no name down the road throw some real good pups , i like the so called under dog ..

I myself wouldn't go with dog 1 If only 30 pups out of 200 amounts out that's 170 culled not good odds. Dog 2 its to early to tell if he reproduces well or not. Dog 3 & 4 haven't been given a chance. I'm gong with dog 3 because if his bloodlines already has 5 different world champions in it that blood produced winners and just may produce another world champion. Besides didn't all the great stud dogs start out with no pups on the ground.

Just because 170 aren't titled doesn't necessarily mean they was culled, could be 170 bad a$$, coon treeing pleasure dogs, or those 170 could be owned by die hard PKC hunters and have $1,000,000 won between them. I think the reproducers list is more of a guideline than a true reflection.

My self none of the above!!! need to know how easy they were to train and how young they were before they made coon treeing hounds!!! when you breed you don't get the dog you get what he throws!!! hope its equal! mostly better than what he is! if they have that gene pool and started really early! that's what I look for. not the deg . ALL coon dog from tail to end of there nose. if they were running and treeing at 6 mts old. ALONE! I would take that one. most natural!!! jmo
