Clarification on a rule ??

When a dog is on a closed tree when you arrive and the coon is seen he takes next aviable position and minus strike and tree?? When do they only get there strike minused? Was having a brain fart figured I'd get some input.

I think if a dog is treeing when you get there and a coon is seen he gets his strike minused . If its off game or slick strike and next availble tree minus.

They get their strike minused and nothing on tree if they come in to tree and coon is seen.

So if they are there when you get there or come in after both get minus their strike if coon seen. Only minus both ways if they are there when you arrive and it's slick?

Depends on if dog was struck in. If dog was never struck in then it has no points to minus.

Unless it's slick and he's here treeing when u get there takes next aviable both ways right?

Thats your answer, if he is shut out on strike there is nothing to minus on the strike points in either situation.

Somewhere in all this rule 6.{O} might apply. Could you plainly hear that there were two dogs treeing??? Or that this dog was there??? You don't specify if it was one dog treed or all of them. Bottom line is that the judge can scratch the dog if he was plainly treed and his handler refused to declare him treed.

6(o) cannot be applied in this situation. You cannot use 6(o) on a dog that is treeing with a dog that was declared treed.
