Hunting other stuff ?

How many people multitask when coonhunting ? I have been arrowhead and shed antler hunting while the dog action is slow. Doing good on the arrowheads and found 4 sheds in the last week.

Used to when I seen sombody coming I would turn my light on and let them know I was there not now I stay in stealth mode and unzip my coat !!

I walk up and down the creek and ditch banks looking for moccasins. This time of year I try to do as much walking as I can to get a little exercise.

I found the woods on fire one night. Right on the county line of 3 counties. It wasn't to bad when we first saw it. Instead of all of em just coming. They musta argued about it and theirs a fire station 5 miles in 2 directions. By the time anybody got there it was a full fledged forest fire. They took a water hose sized hose out there to fight it. They had no flashlights. One big feller fell up a hill.hahaha. We left when the dozer finally got there 3 hrs later.

I look for shrooms allot while I'm coon hunting in the spring - fall. I either pick them and stick them in my coat (if it's a shroom that can handle the abuse like a chicken mushroom) or I come back in the morning for them.
