Federal Spending
CRS Report: Welfare Spending The Largest Item In The Federal Budget
Ranking Member Sessions and the minority staff of the Senate Budget Committee requested from the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service (CRS) an overview of cumulative means-tested federal welfare spending in the United States in the most recent year for which data is available (fiscal year 2011). The results are staggering. CRS identified 83 overlapping federal welfare programs that together represented the single largest budget item in 2011—more than the nation spends on Social Security, Medicare, or national defense. The total amount spent on these 80-plus federal welfare programs amounts to roughly $1.03 trillion. Importantly, these figures solely refer to means-tested welfare benefits. They exclude entitlement programs to which people contribute (e.g., Social Security and Medicare).
Odd The Social Security funds that the Federal Government raided and placed in the general fund is going broke but the Welfare programs are growing with no end in sight and FULLY funded.
Section eight housing costs taxpayers in my County in Ohio four million a year, and there is not many urban areas.

Libs tout 9 million jobs created under Obama. What they don't tell you is for every 1 job created 2 people went on food stamps. Over 45 million currently. Also a large number of those jobs were part time low paying jobs.
Median income in 2,000 was $28,185. Median income 2016 is $29,139. $954 increase in 16 yrs. Meantime median new home price in 2,000 was just over $160,000. Today it's $295,000.
Total U.S. unfunded liabilities is 101 TRILLION dollars. Total liability per taxpayer is $844,000.
Chaos is coming. Exactly what it's going to look like I can't say, but rest assured it's coming. Better be prepared with more than ketchup and mustard packs in your fridge is all I got to say.
I'm conflicted when it comes to knowing the dangers and risks of having federal debt. I've read a few articles that tell me that sovereign debt is harmless, yet my common sense tells me, that's crazy. I have not been able to find, what I call, good information about an impending economic collapse. I've found tons of information advising me to buy lots of beans and bullets and to take my money out of the bank and hide it. That seems like good but impracticle advice. So, at this point, i'm frozen and can't make a decision. How about Cruz saying he would abolish the IRS and use a flat tax. That sounds sweet.
