Why I carry a Gun

I don't carry a gun to kill people; I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don't carry a gun because I'm evil; I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the World.

I don't carry a gun because I hate the government; I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.

I don't carry a gun because I'm angry; I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone; I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man; I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate; I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don't carry a gun because I love it; I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

Police protection is an oxymoron: Free citizens must protect themselves because police do not protect you from crime; they just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take a whoopin'!

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY

PLEASE DON'T THINK FOR A MOMENT, THAT THIS COULDN'T HAPPEN IN OUR COUNTRY ALSO !!!!!!

· In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control:

· From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

With guns, we are 'citizens'; without them, we are 'subjects'.

During WW II, the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

Gun owners in the USA are the largest armed forces in the World!
If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense.

The sword is more important than the shield and skill is more important than either.

Our Carter co police chief posted for everybody to start arming there self that we were under attack in other words he's saying they are out numbered normal people will duck when they hear a gun shot crack heads run twords it !!!

Thank you Bob for posting ! I had read those stats a while back the worst part is most didn't start with immediate confiscation , they started with registering , tighting of laws and volunteer buy back programs .

Something to think about for sure,thanks for postin' fellow American.

The gun, the great equalizer. Why anyone wouldn't have and carry one is beyond me. I carry because I'm a little man and everyone knows little men have issues.

The only time I carry a gun is while hunting. Usually a single shot or bolt action of some kind. I ablolutely will not carry a pistol in public it is a terrible idea for me. I have a temper at times and it scares the carp out of me the thing that go on in my mind. I did some awful things when I was a little younger and don't trust myself with a pistol.

I do not carry a gun because they are heavy and in all likelihood cause me more problems than they would ever solve. I do not live in fear, and on my list or problems in this world--those that can be solved with a gun are pretty low. I have guns to shoot things like coons and rabbits.

If I cooked meth or courted married women, I supposed my outlook would be different.

If I go hunting and someone else wants to carry the gun, great! I am not needing boy scout points.

If I were to suggest something for people to carry, I would suggest a pen or pencil, a calculator, a pad to write down lists, maybe a good little book (bible for those religiously inclined), in fact a wrench that is 9/16 on one end and 1/2 on the other is incredibly handy, or better yet would be a little crescent or pliars.

Almost everyone I know that has a conceal and carry permit is an idiot. I am not touting some anti-gun agenda, I just think many people are living in a fear of something happening to them that is unwarranted. Exceptions I am sure exist.

I do not want any of the gun laws or restrictions to change for any restriction.

I think the worst thing for gun rights are gun activists. It sounds crazy and that makes people uneasy. Whenever I think of everyone I know that conceal and carry, they are exactly the people I wish did not have firearms.

I agree 100% all the people I know who are of sound enough mind to carry a gun usually dont! Lol the ones I know that carry are dangerous because they live in fear or don't trust anyone and there is nothing more dangerous than a chicken $#!/$ with a gun! That's a fact.

Ok, for all the coon hunters on here, I would be willing to bet almost everyone of you support our right to carry guns. Now you can see there are two among us that are not like the rest of us. They are the ones that will cave to or openly support those who seek to prevent or limit our gun rights.
I'll bet they don't even put a shell in the single shot rifle until they are ready to shoot, if that ever really happens.

It's not about having guns. It's not about having guns for hunting. It's about having and carrying guns, both long and short, concealed and open, and loaded because I want to and for no other reason and that is reason enough.

When everywhere I turn out on this gov land you look around and see pill bottles, sudefed rappers, and remenents of a drug lab yep I carry a gun they pin me down out in the dark I will fire a warning shot the next won't miss.

My biggest fear is for someone to learn if I carry or not!

If we as a nation didn't evolve with the car, well it's hard to imagine what we would have to go through to buy a car. Everyone would be thinking that everyone else was an idiot and shouldn't be allowed to own or drive a car. How could we possible trust anyone to drive past us at 50 mph. It would be ok for me to have and drive one because I'm ok, in my way of thinking, but I don't know but anyone else.

Some people are comfortable with a weapon some people are not but the saying don't tread on me is the reason that we are a free country the whole world knows if they tried to invade the USA they wouldn't be just fighting the military for those that don't like to carry or use weapons that's ok those of us that do will protect you just saying !!
